Disaster-In-Chief's Campaign Calls Romney's Foreign Trip 'Disaster'

It's nice to see that former Propaganda Minister Gibbs still knows how to shovel the manure. Obama has been the greatest disaster to ever infest the White House.

(Wall St. Journal) -- President Barack Obama’s campaign ripped into opponent Mitt Romney’s just-completed foreign trip, calling it “an embarrassing disaster” and a failed test for a potential commander in chief.

“Romney was auditioning to be leader of the free world, and it’s clear he was simply unable to represent America on the world stage,” said senior campaign adviser Robert Gibbs.

He said that any president of the U.S. must be able to carefully measure his words, and that Mr. Romney failed, a reference to comments in London that the British took as an insult to their Olympic preparations and comments in Israel about cultural differences that upset Palestinians.

“He both offended our closest ally and triggered a troubling reaction in the most sensitive region of the world. He certainly didn’t prove to anyone that he passed the commander-in-chief test,” Mr. Gibbs said, on a conference call with reporters.

Romney campaign spokesman Ryan Williams issued a statement in response to the call that didn’t directly address the Obama campaign’s critique. “Mitt Romney will be a president who unapologetically stands up for America and the enduring values of freedom,” he said.

“President Obama has weakened America’s position in the world and frayed relationships with our closest allies.”
